The Yacht Marina is just a 5 minute walk from the apartment which is full of beautiful boats and surrounded by bars, restaurants and shops. You can sit by the water enjoying a drink and watch the world go by. Or perhaps take a boat or fishing trip and see what you can catch.

Book a trip out to watch the Dolphins, They are amazing as the play in the bow wave of the boat, leaping and diving in and out of he water. Take your camera for some unforgtable pictures of these wonderfull creatures.

 

Castillo de la Duquesa is a two minute walk along the sea front from the apartment. It's an old Spanish village named after the castle, now a ruin at the back of the village.

Explore the winding streets built when the horse and cart was the main form of transport. Visit the old Spanish Church, still in use and try the original and traditional Spanish restaurants, where the locals eat.

 

Sabinillas Market A twenty minute walk along the promenade brings you to the town of Sabinillas. This bustling lively town has just about every kind of shop and restaurant and all the banks.

On Sunday the Sabinillas market is the place to be, a fascinating array of stalls selling some real bargains! others sell junk, but its great fun wandering amongst all the stalls.

Sabinillas has a wonderful beach that is never crowded, and affords views towards Gibraltar and on a clear day, you see Africa.

 

 

Marbella - Puerto Banus
Marbella is only 25 minutes by car and while there visit Puerto Banus Marina. More superyachts than you can imagine, and full of "beautiful people". Maybe you will see a famous TV or Hollywood celebrity. Or maybe you will just see their fantastic cars. There are many good restaurants, though some are a little expensive.

During the day lots of families enjoy strolling along the marina walk way, enjoying some of the world famous shops. Here you will find all the top brands of clothing and jewelry. 

In the evening the place is really buzzing with life, the boats are all lit up,  the marina  is packed with the most expensive cars in the world  and the clubs and bars are jumping with party people all having a great time. If you like lively places Banus at night is for you.

 

Estepona is only 15 minutes by car and also well worth a visit. Again the yacht marina is the place to be with its many restaurants and shops and night life. During the day its ideal for families and holidaymakers. In the evening the Tapas bars come to life with live music.

Steeped in history and culture the Estepona remains unspoiled and future development is carefully planned to ensure the preservation of the town´s identity.

The main streets are smart and full of interesting shops and restaurants, it makes are really interesting day out.

 

 

Gibraltar is only about 30 minutes by car or bus and absolute must see, if only for the amazing tax free shopping. Its more English than England, no Euros here. Even the CocoCola is imported from the UK. The Gibraltarians won't drink Spanish Coke.

Alcohol and tobacco are really cheap here, but don't overdo it the Spanish border customs are very strict.

Why not go twice? Because from "The Rock" you can take a day trip by sea to Tangier to visit the Casbah, try a camel ride, and enjoy an authentic Morocan lunch.

Accompanied guided trips can be arranged from Duquesa port. It's not expensive it only takes 35 minutes by sea from Gibraltar and it makes for a truly memorable day.
 

Jerez (pronounced Herreth) Inland is this beautiful old Spanish city full of history and culture.

Jerez holds worldwide acclaim for its sherry and brandy production. The word Jerez is derived from Arabic and has now become synonymous with the English word ‘sherry’. Take a tour of  a Bogega such as Tio Pepe and learn how Sherry is made. While there try some, you will surprised at how good the real stuff is.

The city is equally famous for its fine horses as well as Flamenco music and dance.

The world famous Andalucian horses are trained here. See a show and enjoy the beauty and grace of their exciting  performance.
